These traditions can offer a different lens on a question. They do not replace professional care or make decisions on your behalf.

METHODS & QUESTIONS

Choose the tradition that meets the question you are holding.

  1. 01

    BaZi (Four Pillars)

A starting point for noticing how the five elements and seasonal cycles are traditionally read together.

BaZi, also called the Four Pillars of Destiny, arranges birth year, month, day and hour as a traditional cultural framework. At ZiXuanZi, it is presented as a way to reflect on patterns, priorities and personal rhythm—not as a fixed verdict about a life.

Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology)

Useful when you want to bring one work, relationship or timing question into clearer focus.

Zi Wei Dou Shu is a Chinese astrological system that reads a twelve-palace chart. A focused question often makes the reading more useful: it can help you name a situation, notice its context, and decide what you want to consider next.

    Five Elements & yearly rhythm

A gentle way to reflect on balance, seasonality and the pace you want to keep in the months ahead.

Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water are used as symbolic languages for movement, warmth, grounding, discernment and renewal. Yearly readings can support reflection on timing and self-care; they do not promise an outcome.

    I Ching reflection

For a question that feels difficult to untangle, an I Ching reading can offer another angle.

The I Ching, or Book of Changes, uses hexagrams as a language for observing change. ZiXuanZi uses it to help turn a broad concern into a considered reflection, while leaving the choice and responsibility with you.

COMMON QUESTIONS

A considered place to begin.

What is Chinese metaphysics?

Chinese metaphysics is an umbrella term for several traditional systems, including BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, the I Ching and Five Elements theory. People may use them as cultural frameworks for reflection, questions about timing and understanding personal narratives.

What information does a BaZi or Zi Wei Dou Shu reading use?

A personal chart commonly uses a date, place and time of birth. ZiXuanZi uses the information you provide to create the reading you choose. Please see the privacy policy for information about data handling and your choices.

Can a reading tell me exactly what will happen?

No. ZiXuanZi does not present relationships, health, fertility, lifespan, legal outcomes, financial outcomes or life events as certain. A reading is a prompt for reflection and should not replace your judgement or professional advice.

Is ZiXuanZi a fortune teller?

No. Some people use the phrase “fortune teller” when searching for Chinese astrology. ZiXuanZi introduces BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu and related traditions as prompts for cultural reflection, not as fixed predictions or a substitute for professional advice.

Can I ask about work or relationships?

Yes. Clear, specific context can make a reflective reading more meaningful. The purpose is to help you consider a situation with more language and perspective, not to make a decision for you.

How do ZiXuanZi credits work?

ZiXuanZi credits are purchased as one-time top-ups. Each personal reading shows its credit cost before it begins, and credits are deducted only when you choose to start that reading.

Begin with one question, then leave room for your own judgement.
